Sam Eads (they/them) is a Chicago-based lighting designer, technician, and multi-disciplinary artist. Originally from St. Louis, they moved to Chicago to study at The Theatre School at DePaul University. They will graduate in 2026 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Lighting Design and a minor in History.

Sam's work centers around how light interacts with the world and subconsciously impacts our emotions. This focus has led them to various disciplines, including lighting design, photography, and media design (projections, audio-visual content).
